The incident has been linked to the ongoing torrential rains in many parts of the country.
Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kipchumba Murkomen confirmed the incident, saying it left three others injured. The ongoing rains have further raised the risk of landslides.
The injured persons were taken to the hospital, where they underwent a thorough medical examination and were discharged.
The CS further urged residents to remain alert as the situation remains risky, adding that they should report any signs of land movements in the area.
"We continue to call on residents in the region to be aware of their surroundings and to report any signs of earth movements to local authorities," said Murkomen.
Meanwhile, residents living along the slopes of the valley have been advised to move to safer places to avoid further disasters due to the ongoing rains.
Rescue operations have been ongoing since Saturday after the heavy rains were experienced on Friday night.
CS Murkomen confirmed on Sunday that the number of dead people has risen to 26, and 25 people are still missing.
According to the Ministry of Interior, 19 survivors have been rescued, while several others are receiving treatment at Chesongoch Mission Hospital.
