Zetech University has been admitted as a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), a global network of more than 400 universities across over 40 Commonwealth countries.

Founded in 1913, the ACU brings together universities to promote collaboration in higher education, research, and policy engagement. Zetech University’s admission adds it to a group of institutions involved in shared academic and research initiatives across the Commonwealth.

Zetech University Vice Chancellor Prof. Njenga Munene said the membership reflects the institution’s growing engagement beyond the local academic space.

“Membership in the ACU provides opportunities for international collaboration, research partnerships, and academic exchange for staff and students,” he said.

ACU Head of Membership and Events Kathryn Jack said member institutions benefit from access to research networks, grants, fellowships, and platforms for policy dialogue within the Commonwealth higher education sector.

Through the membership, Zetech University will be able to take part in ACU programmes and initiatives, including collaborative research and institutional benchmarking, as well as contribute to discussions on higher education policy at the Commonwealth level.

The university said it plans to use the membership to strengthen academic partnerships and support research and learning that address local and global challenges.
