Kenyan Premier League defending champions Police FC suffered a major setback today, falling 2-0 to Posta Rangers at the Annex Grounds, Nairobi.

Jackson Macharia headed the visitors ahead after just seven minutes, and Dickens Mwema sealed the win with 18 minutes remaining.

The result leaves Police rooted in fifth place with 37 points, 13 adrift of leaders Gor Mahia, in a worrying dip for the title holders.

For Posta Rangers, the victory ends a five-match winless run and lifts them above Mathare United into 12th place.

Police must now regroup quickly to close the widening gap at the summit.
