Speaking during the homecoming ceremony of Dr. Amani Komora, the Chairperson National Police Service Commission (NPSC) at Oda village, in Tana River, Mudavadi noted that the force had been in 50 peace missions globally owing to their professionalism.
PCS Mudavadi further urged the security leadership to keep the commendable tradition.
"Our Security forces are professional, orderly and regarded globally. We must ensure that the Standards are kept at any given time," said Mudavadi.
PCS gave an example of the over 800 police officers who were tasked with restoring calm in their recently-concluded peace mission in Haiti, praising them for maintaining professionalism despite the volatility in the Caribbean nation.
"The peace mission in Haiti has been there for 15 months and there is no single recorded case of human rights violations. This is a testament of their professionalism," said Mudavadi.
He urged Dr. Komora to ensure that the standards within the police force are maintained during his tenure as had been during his predecessor, Mr.Eliud Kinuthia.
"You have no option as the chairperson but to make sure that the standards are kept, if not the way they are, they must be higher," said Mudavadi.
PCS asked the residents and leaders of Tana River County to nurture and maintain peace in their county to ensure that they can attract investors and boost the economy in their region.
"Every investor is keen to put their money and investment where they know that there is peace. It is therefore important that you maintain a harmonious life to attract development in your area," said Mudavadi.
"The projects like the ones going on in Galana Kulalu can only thrive when they are in a peaceful environment."
In his remarks, the PCS celebrated Komora’s distinguished service and unwavering commitment to national cohesion and institutional integrity.
He lauded Komora’s leadership as an inspiration to the youth and a testament to the transformative power of dedication and discipline.
The event reflected the spirit of unity and appreciation for those who serve Kenya with honour.
