Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Kenyans to remain alert on roads as they travel during the Christmas festivities.
Speaking during Kabarak Univeristy’s graduation ceremony on
Friday, the former head-of-state further urged the graduates to work towards
being Kenya’s top brand ambassadors by using their professional skills to put
the nation on the global map.
“Be at the forefront and I am sure that your success will
not just be for Kabarak University but for Kenya and Africa. God bless you and
I wish you well. Merry Christmas and a happy new year and remain vigilant on
the roads,” he noted.
“You are entering a world where borders are less important
than ideas. Keep in mind that Kenya is already recognized in ICT, Fintech,
renewable energy. With your skills you can position Kenya as a hub of
innovation not just in Africa but across the globe.”
Mr. Kenyatta further urged the graduates to take advantage
of available opportunities in Kenya as it takes shape in becoming one of Africa’s
economic hubs.
