Police destroy over 3000 litres of illicit brew in Kahawa West

Police officers have intensified a search for a suspect behind the sale of illicit brew in Kahawa West, Nairobi.

This follows an operation that saw 3,500 litres of kangara and 180 litres of chang’aa destroyed.

The crackdown by police officers also led to the seizure of to manufacturing coils.

Further reports indicate that the suspect evaded police arrest.

The officers from Nairobi Regional Headquarters reiterated their commitment to eradicate illicit alcohol.

“In the spirit of community policing, members of the public are encouraged to support the operations by reporting any suspicious activities to their nearest police station,” police said.
