Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle suspected of trafficking narcotics.

Officers flagged down the vehicle at the Londiani Junction but the driver defied the orders.

He was later pursued by the police officers along the Kericho–Molo–Nakuru highway.

The runaway suspect abandoned the vehicle at Mau Summit before escaping.

Police conducted a search and recovered 69 bales of bhang weighing a total of 310.5 kilograms. Efforts are underway to trace the driver.

“This operation not only disrupted a major drug-trafficking attempt but also reaffirms the resolve of the National Police Service to pursue criminals and dismantle the wider network involved in trafficking narcotics within the region,” police said.
