Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has launched a scholarship program targeting college and university students in Kenya and Ethiopia.
The Bybit Scholarship Program, announced in Nairobi on
September 17, will provide financial support of up to USD 4,000 (Ksh.516,000)
to help students pursue their academic and professional goals. At least 100
students are set to benefit from the initiative, with awards starting from USD
100 (Ksh.12,900).
The program runs from September 17 to October 17, 2025. To participate, applicants are required to record a short video of no more than three minutes introducing themselves, their university, and their field of study.
They must also explain how the scholarship would help them achieve their
goals. The videos should be posted on X (tagging @BybitAfrica) or TikTok
(tagging @Bybit.Africa) with the hashtags #WSOT2025 and #RewriteAndReshape,
before submitting entries through the official application link.
Wilson Ogheneovo, Bybit’s Africa Regional Manager, said the
initiative reflects the company’s belief in Africa’s youth as a catalyst for
innovation and growth.
“Africa’s young population is the driving force behind the
continent’s innovation and growth. By investing in their education, we are not
only supporting individual students but also contributing to building a
stronger and more inclusive digital economy for the future,” he said.
Bybit noted that the scholarship is part of its broader
corporate social responsibility agenda, aimed at advancing education, youth
development, and inclusive technological growth across Africa.
The company emphasized that the program aligns with its
mission of empowering communities through access to knowledge, skills, and
opportunities in the digital economy.
Bybit is a top global digital assets exchange with millions of
users worldwide, and continues to invest in initiatives spanning education,
sustainability, and community development.
