The third edition of the Institute of Public Finance
(IPF) Golf Tournament is set to draw over 200 top golfers from Nairobi and its
environs on Saturday at the par-73 Ruiru Golf Course.
The one-day tournament will tee off at 6:30 am with
the morning session, while the afternoon tee is scheduled for 12:30 pm at the
18-hole course, as players battle it out for top honours.
Club captain Justus Mathenge expressed confidence
that the event would not only provide a competitive platform for golfers but
also strengthen Ruiru’s standing in Kenya’s golfing calendar.
"We are proud to host the third edition of the
IPF Golf Tournament, which has quickly grown into one of the most anticipated
fixtures at Ruiru. The turnout of over 200 golfers speaks to the trust the
golfing community has in our course, and we are delighted to be a preferred
venue for such prestigious events," he said.
Ruiru Golf Course has continued to cement its
position as a hub for major golfing activities, hosting marquee events such as
the Golfer of the Year (GOTY) series, the Engineers Tournament, as well as
numerous high-profile corporate competitions.
