National Super League (NSL) side 3K Football Club have
intensified their preparations for the upcoming season with fresh signings and
a series of friendly matches lined up to enhance their fitness.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, the club's assistant coach
Moses Munene confirmed that the outfit has already roped in Titus Kapchanga
from FKF Premier League outfit Murang’a SEAL and Salasya Otieno from Juja
Sporting, among other recruits.
He revealed that the club expects to finalize its recruitment
drive by next week.
At the same time, the club has parted ways with
several players. Lary Odhiambo has joined MCF, Joshua Amunike has moved to
Kabati Youth, while Onesjuma Juma has signed for Division One side Compel FC.
Their prolific striker, Michael Macharia, is on the verge of
sealing a move to Murang’a SEAL, with Michael Owen also attracting interest
from top-tier side Talanta FC.
Despite the exits, Munene maintained that the
team remains solid, noting that only one player from last season’s regular
starting eleven has left.
“We still have a strong core squad, and the new signings are
expected to boost our competitiveness,” he said.
The team has also organized build-up matches to assess
the fitness and integration of the new signings before the NSL campaign kicks
off.
The side will be seeking to have a successful
campaign with the aim of earning an FKF Premier League promotion after missing out
last season.
