MOFA FC have announced the launch of weekly pre-match press conferences, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the FKF National Super League (NSL), even as the league’s 2025/26 kick-off has been postponed to September 27–28.

The decision to delay the season follows a consensus between FKF and NSL clubs to allow for the resolution of a pending Sports Dispute Tribunal case affecting fixtures.

Originally slated to begin this weekend with a high-profile home clash against relegated FKF Premier League side Nairobi City Stars at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, MOFA confirmed that their inaugural press conference will align with the new league start date.

The club plans to maintain the same format—live streaming across its official YouTube and Facebook platforms—to give fans and media easy access to team updates.

The first session is expected to feature assistant coach Fabian Hosea, standing in for head coach Charles Bruno, who is currently serving as assistant coach for the national Under 20 women’s team, Rising Starlets,  ahead of their double-header against Ethiopia.

MOFA’s Head of Communication and Marketing, Bonface Osano, underscored the importance of the initiative. He said the club is committed to engaging all stakeholders—fans, sponsors, and the media—by making coverage easier and ensuring consistent updates.

“This is a big step for us as we align with our strategic plan, which places high value on stakeholder engagement. I sincerely thank our President, Michael Olunga, and CEO Victor Ogada for making this possible. We are committed to consistency throughout the season,” Osano noted.

After finishing seventh last season with 49 points, MOFA enters the 2025/26 campaign with renewed ambition under new head coach Charles Bruno, the former Kisumu All Stars tactician.

With strengthened structures and a clear communication strategy, the club hopes to be a serious contender for promotion to the FKF Premier League once the season kicks off later this month.
