National Super
League outfit Kibera Black Stars will be looking to make amends in the second
round of the 2025/2026 season when they face Kisumu All Stars.
The Black Stars suffered
a 0-1 defeat to Talanta in their opening match at the weekend, and wants to
atone the sluggish start, with team's head coach Iddi Badi sating they have worked on the mistakes that compounded
to their defeat.
"I was expecting a tough encounter
with Talanta, given that it is a team that featured in the FKF Premier League
last season. The boys gave it all on the pitch, we dominated the game but
unfortunately we lost because of minor mistakes," Badi said.
Iddi reckons Kibera Black Stars squad
comprise new signings who are yet to gel, which greatly contributed to last
weekend’s loss.
"We fielded a new team because out
of the starting eleven, only four of the players we with us last season, the
rest were new signings," he added.
He reckons they are steadily building the
chemistry of the playing unit which should be discernible in the weekend meet.
"We now understand the chemistry and
we must correct our mistakes against Kisumu All Stars. Losing at home should be
motivational factor in our next fixture," he enthused
