The bankers had already secured the overall National Sevens Circuit title earlier in the day following a dramatic 15-14 quarterfinal win over Strathmore Leos, their closest challengers for the crown.
In that clash, Vincent Onyala opened the scoring with a clear run down the flank, though Emmanuel Opondo failed to convert.
Strathmore hit back when Brian Mwendwa dummied past the KCB defence to score under the posts, with Arnold Mwita adding the extras for a 7-5 halftime advantage.
After the restart, George Ooro restored the bankers’ lead as he brushed past Mwendwa to touch down, but Festus Shiasi’s conversion attempt fell short.
Strathmore regained momentum when Samuel Wafula pounced on a loose ball at the breakdown to score, Mwita converting to push them 14-10 ahead.
With time running out, Ooro struck again against his former side, his last-play try sealing a narrow win that ended the Leos’ title ambitions and confirmed KCB as circuit champions.
The main cup final was another bruising affair. Scrum-half Samuel Asati produced a moment of brilliance when he stole possession from a scrum to hand KCB the lead.
Kabras responded after Stephen Osumba was sent to the sin bin, taking advantage to score an unconverted try that left the score 7-5 at the interval.
The second half remained tight, but Floyd Wabwire found the breakthrough with the only score after the break.
Kabras pressed for a late response, but KCB’s defence held firm to deliver a 12-7 victory and the Dala crown.
KCB head coach Andrew Amonde praised his players for their consistency, noting that it has been the foundation of their dominance this season.
“Our consistency has been key for us and it paid out. It has been a collective effort and we hope this result can be replicated in the 15s set up,” said Amonde after the final whistle.
Elsewhere, Daystar Falcons hammered Menengai Oilers 31-0 to claim third place, while Nakuru RFC edged Mwamba 17-10 in the fifth-place final.
Catholic Monks defeated Impala RFC 26-7 to win the Challenger Cup, as MMUST outclassed Kisumu 31-0 in the 13th place playoff.
In Division Two action, Zetech Oaks emerged champions after overpowering Makueni Ravens 24-12 in the fi14-18.
With the win in Kisumu, KCB not only secured the Dala Sevens title but also underlined their status as the outright kings of Kenyan sevens.
The bankers now boast a record five National Sevens Circuit titles, moving clear of the chasing pack who remain tied on four championships.
