In the opening clash, Zawama FC announced their intent in style with a commanding 2-0 win over Fihoni FC. Karrim Karisa broke the deadlock in the 19th minute, before Abdul Dzice put the result beyond doubt with a clinical second-half finish.
Day two of action lived up to expectations as Makongeni FC edged PSG 1-0 in a tense encounter. Abdulrahman Mlisho struck in the 31st minute to give Makongeni the lead. Moments later, Omar Abdallah had a golden opportunity to double the advantage in a one-on-one situation, but the PSG goalkeeper pulled off a crucial save to keep his side in the contest.
The fixtures continue next weekend with Ndeme FC taking on Amsterdam, while Zain FC face Orlando in what promises to be another thrilling weekend of action. The tournament will run over several months and culminate on December 18th.
