In an official statement released on Friday, Secretary General Nick Arum stressed that all supporters must purchase tickets online to directly support the club’s operations.
He underscored that match-day gates will be privatised and no stewards will be allowed to man entrances, signalling a stricter adherence to digital ticketing.
Management is also finalising plans for a season-ticket package to further simplify fan access and improve revenue collection.
The renewed focus on e-ticketing is part of a broader bid to modernize operations and rebuild trust after a disastrous 2024/25 season.
The 21 time league champions , endured their first trophy less campaign in nine years, finishing second in the league behind Kenya Police and losing the FKF Cup final to newly promoted side Nairobi United.
Their poor domestic performance also cost them a place in this season’s CAF inter-club competitions.
The disappointing results triggered sweeping changes. The club dismissed the entire technical bench, including interim coach Zedekiah Otieno, after a turbulent year that saw multiple coaching switches.
Former head coaches Leo Neiva and Sinisa Mihic were both shown the door earlier in the season as the team struggled for consistency.
Now, with a fresh start under head coach Charles Akonnor, Gor Mahia turn their attention to the pitch.
They begin their league contention campaign this Sunday, September 21, with a high-stakes clash against Bidco United at Kasarani Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m., and the club has called on its “Green Army” faithful to fill the stands and act as the vital “12th player.”
Alongside ticketing upgrades, Gor Mahia plan to unveil their new official kits next Thursday and encourage fans to buy authentic merchandise to boost club revenues.
The statement also emphasised peace, discipline, and strong branch mobilization across the country to restore the club’s dominance.
After a year to forget, Gor Mahia’s insistence on e-ticketing and organizational reforms signals a new era—one aimed at regaining silverware and restoring their status as Kenya’s premier football powerhouse.
