Kenya's
representatives at the ongoing East Africa Secondary Schools Games Kamusinga
Girls have set sights on the handball title.
The School’s
head coach Godfrey Simiyu, says the girls are ready to go all the way after
defeating Nyamgabe from Rwanda, Kidika from Kenya, and Mbogo from Uganda at the
games, which are ongoing in Kakamega County.
"Our
target is to top our pool and take the title home. We have won all our group
matches and now the focus shifts to the remaining fixtures in the group as we
aim for the East African title," Simiyu said.
Kamusinga Girls face Gombe from Uganda on Monday, before playing against Maweni
from Tanzania on Tuesday, seeking to stretch their winning streak at the FEASA
Games. These fixtures come even as the tactician expressed confidence of winning
all the remaining matches.
Kamusinga
Girls' ultimate goal is to finish top in Group B and eventually clinch the
handball title this year.
