Football Kenya Federation (FKF) have announced a subsidised price of Harambee Stars replica jerseys ahead of the much-awaited African Nations Championship (CHAN) that kick-offs this weekend across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
FKF president Hussein Mohammed on Thursday revealed that the much-sought-after jerseys will now retail at Ksh 1500, down from Ksh 2500 an offer he said would run until August 7.
“I am happy to announce that following requests from Kenyans, we will subsidize the costs of Harambee Stars replica kits from the previous price of Ksh 2,500.
He encouraged fans to grab the jerseys while stocks last, noting they are available both online via the East West Fashions website and in-store at Sonalux House along Moi Avenue in Nairobi.
“This offer is available for a limited period, up to the 7th of August.”
Mohammed rallied Kenyans to create a can-do attitude and red, white, and green atmosphere at Kasarani Stadium as Harambee Stars debut the month-long tournament against DR Congo on Sunday from 3PM.
“We call on all Kenyans who have already purchased tickets and come and fill Kasarani to the rafters.”
“If you have not yet bought the tickets, you can watch the game at home and support our national team.”
He urged the football fans not only to be keen on the national team games but also turn up and watch the other group A matches that will be played in the country.
“We are Pan Africanists and so we encourage you to not only watch Kenya’s games but all the other matches,” he said.
