Bunyore Starlets are gearing up for life in the Women’s National Super League (NSL) with renewed optimism, having strengthened both their squad and technical bench.
Club chairman Moses Mabwa expressed confidence that the new
additions will help drive the club’s agenda.
“Upon relegation, we accepted our fate. Our focus now is on
winning our first fixture in the second-tier league,” said Mabwa.
The Starlets will host Kitale’s Royal Starlets in their NSL
opener at Mumboha, in front of their home fans, in a match scheduled two weeks
from now.
Mabwa also lauded Luanda MP Dick Maungu for mediating
between Luanda Villa, Bunyore Starlets, and the management of Mumboha Secondary
School to ensure the team has a home ground.
“Just as Luanda Villa hosted Samwest at Mumboha, so will
Bunyore Starlets utilize the same field after we agreed with the school to
shelve our differences,” he added.
