Kenya Police Bullets head coach Beldine Odemba is not thinking hard about the opponent they will face in the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA qualifiers semi-finals.

Odemba led the law enforcers in beating DenDen of Eretria 2-0 in last pool A match played on Wednesday at Nyayo Stadium, where Emily Moranga and Ugandan Zaina Namileme were on target.

That was the second successive win in the qualifiers for Police after making a strong start to their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Uganda’s Kampala Queens last Thursday.

The win placed them on top of Group A with six points, three ahead of Kampala Queens with DenDen bowing out of the competition after winning none of their preliminary matches.

“I congratulate my girls for a good fight against Denden. If someone followed that match keenly he/she could note that we got more chances but failed to utilise them and that’s something I’m working on going to the semis. We are meeting the leader of group C and to me I don’t care whether it will be JKU, JKT or Yei Joint Stars. Whoever will come we are ready,” Odemba averred.

“I also thank the fans for their continued support and we are urging them to come at large on Sunday to support the girls,” she added.

The Eritrean champions DenDen had been clobbered 7-0 by Kampala Queens of Uganda in their opening match.

The Beldine Odemba coached team will meet the winner of Group C which consists of JKT Queens (Tanzania), Yei Joint Stars (South Sudan), JKU Princess (Zanzibar).

Semi-finals are scheduled for September 14, while the final will be staged on September 16 but will be preceded by the third-place playoff on same day.

The group stage will culminate on Friday with Top G Academy of Burundi will be taking on CBE as South Sudan’s Yei FC play JKT of Tanzania.

The qualifiers bring together nine league champions from across the region to battle for one ticket to the CAF Women’s Champions League finals in Egypt in November.
