During a church service in Kajiado County, the faction said that the only way to oust President Ruto is through the ballot, and more registered voters will help the opposition triumph.
Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua urged the youth and the Kenyan middle-class to participate in the upcoming registration exercise to help tilt the elections outcome in 2027.
"The exit of Kasongo (Ruto) will be done at the ballot box. The youth is the hope we have to save this country. The real transformation of our country will be done by the Gen Zs you have done well so far," Gachagua noted.
"The middle class in this country have been by standers in elections, they stay at home and wait for Kenyans to vote, when things go wrong like it has gone they are the victims. You cannot stay at home and wait for rest of Kenya to bring meaningful change."
Echoing his sentiments, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa said that President Ruto's regime has illustrated incompetence since it came in power in 2022.
He noted that the unecheked vices like corruption and assault on young Kenyans during protests under his leadership must be nipped in the bud.
"In Botswana President Masisi has also been sent home under one term. It has also happened in Nigeria and Ghana," Wamalwa noted.
"To oust him we need the youth to register as voters from tomorrow, saying one term is not enough."
Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka also opined that President Ruto has lost the public trust and is not feat for leadership.
He faulted the government for inking the Haiti peacekeeping mission deal, arguing that it is only putting the Kenyan officers at risk and some have lost their lives.
Mr. Ruto we want our boys back home. There is no need to taking our children to die and this is being dsone agaisnt the decision of the Kenyan court," noted Kalonzo.
The opposition leaders further asserted that they will remain a united front and will not bow to coercion and calls to sever ties.
Former Deputy President Gachagua noted that their aim remains to oust the current regime and transform the nation.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is set to launch a continuous voter registration on September 29, aiming to achieve a 70% registration of the Kenyan youth.
