According to a statement from Ena Coach CEO Richard Mogire, the bus departed from Nairobi at around 8pm on Saturday carrying 47 passengers and 3 crew members heading to Kehancha.
Arriving at the scene of the accident, a lorry is said to have lost control and hit two cars before ramming the bus from the rear, forcing the bus to veer of the road and overturn.
A female adult and a minor met their untimely death while several other sustained injuries.
Swift response from emergency teams saw the movement of injured persons to nearby health facilities.
"We are grateful to report that most of those admitted have since been treated, cleared and discharged," read the statement in part.
Mogire mourned the loss of the two passengers, affriming full compliance with subsequent investigations on the accident.
