The Prime Minister of the Sudan “Parallel” Peace and Unity Government, Mohamed Hassan Othman Al-Taeichi, has issued decrees appointing three new ministers, in what observers describe as part of completing the structures of the “Ta’sis” (Foundation) government.

The appointments include Ammar Amon Daldoum as Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Suleiman Sandal Hagar as Minister of Interior, and Alaa Eddine Awad Mohamed as Minister of Health.

This move comes just days after the appointment of Dr. Goni Moustapha Aboubakr Sherif as Sudan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

Analysts see the new appointments as an indication of the parallel government’s gradual approach to building its executive institutions.
