Speaking to Citizen TV on Monday, the legislator opined that the opposition lacks a well-informed agenda to face the ruling administration, opting only to fire slurs at President Ruto.
"It is disunited because it is taking us back in terms of the 2030 aspirations of driving issue-based politics. Any political grouping must have a clear agenda that unites all Kenyans and gives them hope but what is uniting them is merely hate against the President, a raw search for power without outlining an alternative agenda for Kenya," Sossion said.
He further argued that the State's programmes, the Social Health Authority and Affordable Housing, are working transformative and cannot be grounds for censure from the opposition.
"Those critizing UHC are mere people who have not gone to hospital. Those who have gone to hospital have a story to tell," he said.
"Nobody should lie to Kenyans that UHC will be done differently, it will be made more successful by future regimes."
The United Opposition has been criticized over its political approach to oust President Ruto in the 2027 General Election.
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki slammed the faction for persistent empty rhetoric and promoting backward politics, saying they have no development record to show.
Speaking when he addressed over 4,500 grassroots women in Mbeere North Constituency, Embu County, the DP called on residents not to fall for the cheap and retrogressive talk by the leading opposition figures.
“The opposition has nothing to offer. They have no roads, no schools, no hospitals, and no development to show. Let us focus on the government of the day because that is where development comes from,” he stated.
