Eight killed in accident on Nairobi – Namanga Highway

Eight people have died in a road accident in the Korompoi area along the Namanga–Kitengela Road in Kajiado County.
The Saturday morning crash involved a lorry and a 14-seater matatu belonging to Nailepu Sacco.
According to witnesses, the lorry driver was overtaking when it collided head-on with the matatu, which was heading to Kitengela from Isinya town.
Isinya Sub-County Police Commander Simon Lokitari confirmed the incident, saying the bodies of the deceased have been moved to Kitengela Level 4 Hospital. One survivor is admitted at the same facility in critical condition.
