President Ruto nominates Amani Yuda as NPSC chairperson

The nominees include Dr. Amani Yuda Komora as Chairperson and Ms. Angeline Yiamiton Siparo as a member.
The announcement was made through a presidential statement issued Monday and signed by Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei.
Dr. Komora is the former Vice-Chairperson of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) and previously held senior HR roles at the Kenya Ports Authority and Kenya Revenue Authority. He holds a PhD in Human Resource Management from JKUAT.
Ms. Siparo, a public health and governance expert, chaired the National AIDS Control Council between 2016 and 2022 and has worked with several international organizations including UNAIDS, PRB, and Oxford HR.
She coordinated the YALI Legacy Localization Project across 49 countries and holds a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from USIU–Africa.
Other nominees to the commission are Ms. Peris Muthoni Kimani (Kiambu), Mr. Edwin Cheluget (Nandi), Mr. Benjamin Juma Imai (Bungoma), and Prof. Collete A. Suda (Migori).
If approved by Parliament, the team will take over the constitutional mandate of overseeing appointments, promotions, and disciplinary processes within the police service.
