PS Esther Muoria defends govt’s track record in education

Speaking in Mutithi, Mwea, Kirinyaga County, during Agitech Expo, they revealed government plans to assist farmers in value addition to maximize benefits from their produce.
The duo defended the Kenya Kwanza administration’s progressive efforts in placing education at the heart of the country’s national planning and development strategy, where most youths in the country are getting jobs locally and internationally through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
“ ….and the reason they agreed to fund my students is because I told them we are training them... to come and work here," said Esther Muoria, PS of State Department, TVET.
This was followed by Gitonga Mugambi, PS of State Department, Forestry saying,” One thing which we have experienced even in an establishment like this is lack of skills.
There are so many people looking for jobs but when you give them the actual job to do, it’s a different story…”
