Mukhwana urged politicians to shun the culture of not conceding defeat, to avert tension with the electoral commission.
“Every time our political leadership works together, there is peace and IEBC has no problem somehow, but the moment elections are conducted, and the winner is declared, IEBC is a terrible organization, they are thieves,” Mukhwana told NTV’s Fixing the Nation on Monday.
Mukhwana noted that Kenyan politics is volatile as one can’t easily predict moves from the political divide.
He urged leaders who lose polls to concede defeat and try in the next election period.
“The Ghanaians have shown us the way, they shake hands and say yes you’ve won but our politicians are yet to accept that whoever has won has validly won, shake hands and say yes, maybe a second time,” urged Mukhwana.
His remarks comes as the country gears for the 2027 General Elections with tensions on the rise as the opposition seeks to unseat the Kenya Kwanza administration, who are also pushing for a second term in office.
