Police nab 2 suspects in Nairobi vehicle theft syndicate

According to the National Police Service, officers recovered a stolen Toyota Axio that had been fitted with false number plates.

A verification exercise revealed that the chassis number matched a vehicle reported stolen at Mutuya Police Station.

One suspect was initially arrested and, after interrogation, provided information that led detectives to a second accomplice.

Both suspects are now in custody, awaiting processing and arraignment.

“The National Police Service reiterates its unwavering commitment to the fight against all forms of crime and urges members of the public to support its operations by sharing information,” the statement read.
