The agitated parents, led by PTA chairman Jeremiah Gikunju, said that they were not consulted when the project was started.
The irate parents forced workers who were on the site to vacate until they are notified what is going on, adding that they will not allow a police post to be constructed within the premises.
They further called on the Ministry of Education to get views from board members before proceeding with the project.
The parents stated that, following the recent shoot order from Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, students will live in fear.
In a quick rejoinder, area MP George Kariuki said "We are not building a police station but a police post to secure the ICT center, which has been vandalized several times, making it difficult to operationalize it. Parents are not against the project, but the illiterate area MCA is mobilizing goons to politicize the noble initiative."
