Man arrested with gun hidden inside refrigerator in Utawala

Police have arrested a man in Nairobi’s Utawala area following the recovery of a loaded firearm during an intelligence-led operation.
According to law enforcement officers, the suspect, identified as Brown Carlos Butrose Kombo, was apprehended during a raid carried out at a residence within Kelvin Heights, Utawala, by detectives attached to Embakasi Sub-County.
During the operation, officers discovered a Glock pistol loaded with 17 rounds of ammunition, which had been concealed inside a refrigerator.
"The scene was processed, exhibits secured, and the suspect placed in custody pending arraignment," said the DCI.
The suspect was immediately placed in custody and is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
