The meeting followed a circular from Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, which stressed strict adherence to performance standards, timely corrective measures, and lawful consequences for non-compliance.
On Wednesday, Principal Secretary Generali Nixon Korir had chaired a session with departmental heads, where he underscored the importance of discipline and observance of civil service protocols. It was during this forum that he directed the convening of Friday’s webinar, which brought together County Land Coordinators and staff from across the country.
Commending officers for their dedication in the past financial year, PS Korir urged them to remain diligent, uphold service charters, and ensure seamless service delivery to the public. He warned that accountability would be strictly enforced—officers who meet their targets will be rewarded with promotions, while those who fail risk disciplinary action.
“We must commit to excellence in service delivery. Those who meet their targets will be rewarded, and those who do not will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” he said.
Secretary Administration, Maalim Mohammed, echoed the PS’s remarks, warning that officers who ignore corrective measures would face disciplinary consequences. He further called on staff to maintain professionalism, avoid conflicts of interest, and strictly comply with administrative procedures.
The meeting addressed concerns including staff conduct, audit queries, non-compliance with guidelines, and conflict of interest.
Senior officials in attendance included Director of Land Adjudication and Settlement, Kennedy Njenga; Director of Surveys, Weldon Maritim; Director of Human Resource Management and Development, Janerose Karanja; Director of Supply Chain Management, Tom Ogora; Chief Finance Officer, Anthony Masinde; Head of Internal Audit, James Njenga; Director of the National Land Information Management System (NLIMS), Monica Obongo; Director of Central Planning and Project Monitoring (CPPM), Cyrus Mbogo; and Director of Valuation, Herbert Were, among others.
