A family in Garissa is demanding justice and the release of their kin, who was allegedly abducted by suspected National Police Reservists in Hagadera, Fafi Sub-County, over a year ago.
The family of Abdinassir Khalif, who was abducted on June 30,
last year, in the company of his two friends after attending a wedding ceremony
as he drove back his Toyota Probox, took to the streets of Garissa town to
demand justice and the unconditional release of their kin.
Immediately after receiving information of his disappearance,
the family began their search by visiting Welmerer Police Station, where
officers at the station denied booking him in their cells.
Their subsequent searches did not bear fruit, even after
visiting higher offices.
The family wondered why Abdinassir's vehicle was being
operated by security officers in Hagadera while his phone had remained switched
off to date.
