As Galana Energies continues to celebrate its 25 years as a
Kenyan owned and led oil marketing company, the firm is proud to commemorate
the milestone and continue giving back to the community in a meaningful manner.
In its partnership with the Matatu Association of Kenya and
the August 7th Memorial Trust, Galana Energies has offered free rides to
passengers across 27 matatu routes in Nairobi to honor the victims and
survivors of the 1998 Nairobi Bomblast.
The commemorative initiative displays Galana Energies’ ongoing
commitment to celebrate Kenyan spirit and the community that continues to
empower it since its initiation in 2000.
“This day is a reminder of our resilience as a nation even
when we experience overwhelming challenges. Today we chose to commemorate this
day by engaging more Kenyans beyond the affected families to celebrate and
remember the events of the 1998 Bomblast, 27years later,” said Sharon Bachia,
Marketing Manager Galana Energies.
Different matatu lines across Nairobi including those going to
Gachie, Thika Road, Kawangware, and Rongai were engaged in the activity on 7th
morning and evening.
The initiative is one of several planned to continue as Galana
Energies continues its anniversary celebrations that include fuel promotions,
customer reward activations, and outreach efforts across the country.
In the past 25 years, Galana Energies has empowered Kenyan
progress through delivering high-quality petroleum products across its growing
station network in the country.
Guided by their values of reliability, service, and integrity,
the firm has continued to empower public transport, logistics, and power homes.
