Bomet man wanted for alleged defilement of three-year-old daughter

The incident is alleged to have occurred on Tuesday at the family’s homestead in the Sing’oiwek area of Segemik.
According to a police report, the suspect, identified as Stanley Langat, committed the act while his wife was away from the home attending to chores.
Upon returning, the child’s mother discovered the minor in visible distress and suffering from pain.
A preliminary examination revealed the presence of blood on the girl's inner clothing.
“The mother immediately raised the alarm after finding the child in a severe state,” confirmed Chepalungu Sub-County Police Commander Phanton Analo. “It is reported that the suspect, upon realizing the act had been discovered, fled the homestead in haste with several personal belongings. He remains at large.”
Authorities were alerted, and the young victim was rushed to Olbutyo Health Centre for an urgent medical examination and treatment.
Officials confirmed that a P3 form has been duly filled out to document the injuries as part of the investigation.
Police have intensified their search for Mr. Langat and are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to his apprehension.
“Our investigations are ongoing, and we are pursuing all leads to ensure the suspect is arrested and faces the full force of the law,” added Commander Analo.
The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting urgent concerns over child safety and gender-based violence.
