21 people killed after school bus ferrying mourners rolls in Kisumu

A school bus which was ferrying mourners from Nyahera to Nyakach was trying to negotiate a corner at the Coptic blackspot when it rolled.

Twenty one people have been confirmed dead following a Friday
evening crash at Coptic area on the Kisumu-Kakamega road.

blackspot when it rolled.
Confirming the incident, Nyanza Regional Traffic Enforcement
Officer Peter Maina said the fatalities are 10 men, 10 women and an eight-month-old
baby.
Twenty other survivors were rushed to the Jaramogi Oginga
Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment, with five being in
critical condition.
Bodies of the deceased have been moved to the same facility’s morgue.
