Xiaomi launches Redmi 15 in Kenya with giant 7,000mAh Battery 6.9-inch display

At the core of the new device is a massive 7,000mAh battery, the largest ever in Xiaomi’s global lineup.
The battery, built with silicon-carbon anode technology, offers up to 28 hours of video playback and 29 hours of reading on a single charge.
Even at just 1% power, users can squeeze out 64 minutes of calls. With 33W fast charging, Battery Health 4.0, and reverse charging, the Redmi 15 doubles as both a phone and a pocket power bank.
The Redmi 15 also pushes the boundaries on visuals with its 6.9-inch FHD+ immersive display, boasting a 144Hz refresh rate and 288Hz touch sampling.
Certified by TÜV Rheinland for eye comfort and low blue light, it promises smooth performance and safe viewing even during extended use.
For audio, Xiaomi has equipped the device with Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos®, delivering a 200% volume boost for music, movies, and gaming.
On design, the phone measures just 8.55mm thin and weighs 224g, featuring a quad-curved back with metal accents. It comes in three finishes: Sandy Purple, Titan Gray, and Midnight Black.
Under the hood, the Redmi 15 runs on the Snapdragon® 685 Mobile Platform built on a 6nm process, with up to 16GB RAM via memory extension and expandable storage of up to 2TB.
It ships with Xiaomi HyperOS 2, offering AI-driven features like Circle to Search, Google Gemini integration, and seamless Xiaomi interconnectivity.
Photography is powered by a 50MP AI dual rear camera and an 8MP selfie lens, complete with Auto Night Mode for low-light clarity. The device is also rated IP64 dust and water resistant, with Xiaomi’s Wet Touch Tech 2.0 ensuring usability even in rain or spills.
The Redmi 15 officially goes on sale in Kenya from September 25, 2025, at the following prices; 6GB + 128GB: KES 17,99 and 8GB + 256GB: KES 19,999.
