Jubilee Party Leader Fred Matiang'i has dismissed speculation of a fallout within the United opposition, saying they cannot afford to do that as Kenyans expect them to deliver victory in the 2027 election.

Speaking during a church service in Naromoru, Matiang'i said despite recent verbal exchanges amongst opposition leaders, they are still united and are on a mission to unseat President William Ruto.

"Kenyans want us united. As I always say, we will deliver victory with military precision. We will form an opposition team that is totally and absolutely unbeatable going forward. Kenyans want us to change our country," Matiang'i said.

He warned that it is not time for squabbles within the opposition, rather to work together and deliver victory for Kenyans who support them and want a regime change.

"We cannot be quarrelling every time when Kenyans want us to change things around here. We have work to do, and people like me who know how to work want to do the work," Matiang'i added.

This comes after Matiang'i, DCP's Rigathi Gachagua and former Attorney General Justin Muturi exchange words through various media, calling for respect for one another.

In a letter, Muturi accused Gachagua of looking down upon other principals within the united opposition and sidelining those who seemingly didn't dance to his tune.

Gachagua hit back, apparently directing his rage towards Muturi and Matiang'i, saying they need to get out of boardrooms and TV stations and mobilise votes on the ground.

Gachagua seems to align himself with Linda Mwananchi's Edwin Sifuna and Wiper Patriotic Front's Kalonzo Musyoka, sidelining the likes of Muturi and Matiang'i.

But the opposition leaders seem to be putting aside their differences for a common cause: to kick Ruto out of power.
