Kenya Police Bullets stormed into the semi-finals of the 2026 CECAFA Women’s Challenge to inch closer to securing a spot in the prestigious CAF Women’s Champions League for the 2026/27 season.

The law enforcers cruised into the last four following a convincing 3-1 victory over Burundian giants Top Girls Academy in their final preliminary match at the Pelé Stadium in Kigali.

On-form forward Martha Amunyolete delivered a Player of the Match performance, netting a brilliant brace with strikes in the 17th and 68th minutes.

Eglay Mukhwana added her name to the scoresheet to cap off a dominant display and seal the three points.

The victory sets up a high-stakes semi-final clash against South Sudanese heavyweights Yei Joint Stars on Saturday at the Pelé Stadium in Kigali, kicking off at 4:00 PM EAT.

Yei Joint Stars made club history by advancing to the regional knockout stage for the very first time.

They clinched top spot in Group A with seven points after a stellar run that included a 3-0 dispatching of Eritrea's DenDen FC, a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mafunzo Women of Zanzibar, and a gritty 1-1 draw against host side Rayon Sports WFC.

Kenya Police Bullets have matched that intensity from the opening whistle of the tournament.

They kicked off their campaign with a statement 2-1 victory over Tanzanian powerhouses Simba Queens, establishing early momentum as they look to redeem themselves after narrowly missing out on continental qualification last season.

With six regional champion spots up for grabs across Africa, the law enforcers are now just two wins away from booking their place in the main CAF Women’s Champions League tournament.
