Forward Catherine Khaemba has officially confirmed her departure from Bungoma Queens after her three-year contract with the club came to an end.
Speaking to Citizen Digital about her future, Khaemba revealed that she is ready to begin a new chapter in her career.
She disclosed that several clubs have already expressed interest in signing her, but she is taking her time before deciding where she will play next.
"My contract with Bungoma Queens expired on July, that allows me to join other teams. There is a lot of offers on the table but I'm only taking my time to make the right decision," she said.
The prolific striker said her next move will be guided by more than just football. She wants to join a club that offers a better environment and avoids the difficulties she encountered during her spell at Bungoma Queens. Improving her earnings is also a key priority as she weighs her options.
"Despite numerous challenges, Bungoma Queens has been my home. However, I cannot afford to join another with similar setbacks, I'm looking forward to joining a team that will pay me well and take care of me better,"she added.
Khaemba leaves Bungoma Queens with an impressive record after making around 66 appearances across three seasons and scoring over 40 goals, establishing herself as one of the club's most reliable attacking players.
For now, her attention is on international duty. Khaemba is in camp with the Harambee Starlets as the national side intensifies preparations for the upcoming Women's Africa Cup of Nations, where Kenya hopes to make a strong impression.
