Sofapaka crush Nairobi United, Sharks hold Shabana

Sofapaka returned to winning ways in the Kenyan Premier League with a 3-0 demolition of Nairobi United at Dandora Stadium on Saturday as Shabana were held by Kariobangi Sharks in a barren draw at Kasarani Stadium.
In a dominant performance, Sofapaka secured their second
league win of the season. Goals from Joseph Kuloba, Bramuel Simiyu and Japheth
Mzungu sealed a convincing victory for the Machakos-based side. From the first
whistle, Sofapaka dictated the pace, with Kuloba opening the scoring early in
the first half, followed by Simiyu and Mzungu in the second.
Playing in the league while also competing in the CAF
Confederation Cup, Nairobi United now face the added challenge of balancing
domestic fixtures with continental commitments. Despite the defeat, their
qualification to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup remains a morale
booster, they sit 13th on the standings
Meanwhile, Shabana demonstrated resilience in Nairobi,
holding Kariobangi Sharks to a 0-0 draw. The Moi Center Kasarani.
Shabana are placed seventh on the table, while Kariobangi Sharks remain 14th.
