SABIS football prodigies set for elite UK football exchange

Fledgling football prospects from SABIS International School are set for a rare opportunity to experience elite youth football after MAO Sports Management Limited, in partnership with the Victor Wanyama Foundation, confirmed their impending football exchange program that will see them tour the United Kingdom.

The program will feature a training session at the Tottenham Hotspur Academy, where the students will train alongside Tottenham academy players under the guidance of the club’s coaches.

The session is expected to give the young players an opportunity to experience the technical demands, intensity, and discipline of an elite European football academy while interacting with players undergoing professional development.

The students will also travel to Basingstoke for a youth football tournament facilitated by DDC. The competition will provide another platform for the young players to test their abilities against different opponents and gain valuable competitive experience.

A guided tour of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will form part of the football experience, giving the delegation an insight into the facilities and infrastructure supporting one of England’s leading football clubs.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama will join the delegation during the UK program. The former Kenyan international is expected to engage with the students and share experiences from his career in English and European football.

Wanyama, who represented Tottenham at the highest level, will use his experience to inspire the young players and demonstrate the pathway from youth football to professional competition.

The exchange is designed to give the students international football exposure while developing their technical, competitive, and psychological skills. It will also allow them to experience first-hand the standards and professionalism required to succeed in elite football.

For MAO Sports Management and the Victor Wanyama Foundation, the program represents an effort to create international opportunities for young footballers and expose them to environments that can support their development both on and off the pitch.
