Kenya Police Bullets head coach David Vijago has hailed his charges for the 4-1 win against Bungoma Queens on Sunday terming it as motivation for them to their FKF Women's Premier League (FKF KWPL) title this season.

Playing at their backyard, it Police Sacco Stadium, the law enforcers sealed the maximum points by goals from Puren Alukwe (5), Ugandan Margaret Kunihira (33), Rebecah Okwaro (72), and Medina Aboubakar (77).

The win cemented their supremacy on the apex of the league with 15 points, two shy of second-placed Trinity Starlets, who won 1-0 against Ulinzi Starlets.

Four-time champions Vihiga Queens dropped from second position to third with 11 points following their goalless draw against Zetech Sparks at Zetech University, Mang'u Campus on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, new Bullets tactician David Vijago urged his side to maintain the winning streak as it is the only way of achieving their dream of clinching the title.

"It was a very nice win for us, but it came after so many hurdles on the pitch. Since the start of the season I can say we meet powerful opponents. Bungoma were tactically good, only that we utilized our chances well. "

"As I earlier said, we want to retain the title, and I believe it's very achievable if we maintain the focus. I'm new to this team, but the reception has been so amazing, and the players have quickly adapted to my style of playing, something I'm happy for.

Vijago is now preparing her lads for the next assignment against his former side, Kibera Soccer Ladies, in an away fixture.

"It will be a tough assignment despite knowing the opponents better. They are one of the serious title contenders, but that will not shy us away from collecting maximum points."

Vijago, a former Kibera Women gaffer, replaced Beldine Odemba as the new Kenya Police Bullets coach. His predecessor Odemba did a great job with the lawmakers, guiding them in winning two back-to-back titles for the Women's Premier League.
