President Ruto congratulates Museveni on re-election

Acording to Ruto, Museveni's victory demonstrated the trust Ugandans continue to place in his personal leadership and in the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.
He expressed confidence that the renewed mandate would strengthen Museveni’s resolve to accelerate Uganda’s socio-economic transformation.
President Ruto also commended Uganda for conducting a peaceful and competitive election, noting that the orderly process was a testament to the country’s democratic maturity and the commitment of its people and institutions to constitutional governance.
The Head of State also affirmed the close ties between the two neighbouring countries.
He said Kenya and Uganda share deep fraternal bonds and pledged Nairobi’s readiness to work closely with Kampala to advance shared development priorities.
He added that strengthened cooperation between the two states would benefit citizens of both countries and contribute to broader regional and continental progress.
President Ruto concluded by wishing President Museveni success as he embarks on a new term in office, describing the responsibility ahead as a solemn and significant national duty.
