The prices of super petrol, diesel and kerosene will remain unchanged in the latest review by the Energy Petroleum and Regulatory Authority (EPRA).

This means, in Nairobi, a litre of super petrol will continue retailing at Ksh.184.52, while diesel will sell at Ksh.171.47 and Kerosene at  Ksh.154.78.

In Mombasa, the cost will remain at Ksh.181.24, Ksh.168.19 and Ksh151.49 for super petrol, diesel and kerosene, respectively.

"The prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020," EPRA stated.

EPRA indicated that the purpose of price regulations is to cap the retail prices of petroleum products which are already in the country to ensure reasonable prices to consumers.

"The average landed cost of imported Super Petrol decreased by 0.10% from US$620.84 per cubic metre in August 2025 to US$620.24 per cubic metre in September 2025; Diesel increased by 1.57% from US$614.08 per cubic metre to US$623.75 per cubic metre while Kerosene increased by 2.97% from US$609.59 per cubic metre to US$627.72 per cubic metre over the same period."
