National Super League (NSL) side Naivas FC will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season when they take on Mwatate United this Saturday in Nairobi.

‎‎The side has enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, having picked up two wins and one draw from their opening three matches, a run that sees them occupy third place on the league table with seven points.

‎‎Speaking ahead of the tie, head coach Elvis Ayani has expressed confidence, revealing that his side is in excellent shape and free of any injury concerns.

“Our preparation has been thorough, and the players are in good health and high spirits, said Ayani. We know the importance of this match and are ready to fight for all three points.

‎‎Ayani, however, remains cautious, acknowledging the competitive nature of the NSL this season.

The league is very competitive, and every match demands maximum concentration. We are taking each game seriously, including this one against Mwatate, he added.

‎‎Their opponents, Mwatate United, have had a difficult start to the season, sitting 16th on the table after two losses and a draw.

The Taita Taveta-based side will be hoping to turn their fortunes around and register their first win of the campaign.
