The rehabilitation of the Nairobi River Basin entered its decisive second phase on Wednesday with the deployment of engineering units to construct public botanical walkways and flood attenuation basins.
Taskforce officials confirmed that over 60 informal effluent discharge points have been decommissioned over the past six months, resulting in noticeable recovery of downstream aquatic ecosystems.
