Mombasa: Notorious gangster arrested after months on the run

Police in Changamwe Constituency, Mombasa County, are holding Stephen Omondi, popularly known as “Omosh”, a notorious robbery suspect who has been on the run.

According to a report from Changamwe Police Station, officers arrested Omondi during a patrol in BBC area following intelligence reports about his whereabouts.

Omondi is alleged to have been involved in several violent robberies in the area, often committing the crimes together with accomplices armed with machetes.

At the same time, police have launched an intense manhunt for his accomplices, who are still at large, to bring them to justice.

Police have urged members of the public to cooperate with security agencies to ensure that all criminal suspects in the area are apprehended and prosecuted.
