Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA FC) head coach Charles Bruno has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness ahead of their FKF National Super League (NSL) Week 3 fixture against Kibera Black Stars, set for Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Hope Centre in Kawangware.

Speaking during the team’s training session at Ringa Boys High School Grounds, Coach Bruno said the squad has been working hard throughout the week to fine-tune tactics and correct mistakes from previous matches.

“We are finalising our preparation for our Sunday game against Black Stars,” said Bruno.

“It has been a good week so far, working on corrections and our game plan. The only setback we have is our captain, Charles Kwakha, who is out with an ACL injury. Otherwise, the rest of the team is in great shape,” he added.

Bruno also took the opportunity to rally fans to come out in large numbers and support the team as they look to maintain their perfect start to the season.

“We really appreciate the support we’ve had so far,” he said. “The boys are motivated, and we want to make our fans proud. I urge them to come out and cheer us on .”

MOFA FC has enjoyed a stellar start to the 2025/2026 NSL campaign, winning their opening two matches — a 1–0 victory over Nairobi City Stars on September 28 and another 1–0 win against Vihiga United on October 5.

The club currently sits third on the league table with six points, level with Naivas FC and Mombasa United, who lead on goal difference.

However, the absence of captain Charles Kwakha, who sustained ACL and meniscus tears during the win over Vihiga United, remains a blow.

The midfielder is set to undergo surgery and begin a lengthy rehabilitation process, with hopes of returning next season.

Despite the setback, Bruno remains optimistic, insisting the team’s spirit and focus remain intact as they aim to continue their unbeaten run and strengthen their promotion ambitions.
