Maraga calls for CBE suspension, cites infrastructural gaps and system failure

The 2027 presidential contender lamented that the current system is dysfunctional and has overburdened parents and students adversely.
Maraga, who is the United Green Movement party leader, urged the government to review the system, which he describes as shambolic, by involving all the stakeholders in the education sector.
“CBE has not been undertaken after public participation and
proper consultations. That is why it is very shambolic. We are going to plan a
system that works for everybody. A system that leaves nobody behind," said Maraga.
Maraga urged involvement of stakeholders, including parents,
in making decisions concerning education sector.
