Denis Ouma Nyahinda is said to have hacked Tyron Onyango on the head and neck using a panga, killing him instantly.
According to West Asembo location Wycliffe Odiango, the deceased, who had visited his grandmother over this holiday season, is said to have been playing with other children when the suspect asked them to stop making noise.
He said that the children continued playing after Ouma’s order. The suspect then walked out of his house with a panga and chased the little boy up to his grandmother’s house and hacked him on the head and neck, killing him on the spot.
Odiango said that security personnel were alerted before they visited the scene and moved the boy’s body to Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary to await postmortem examination.
While confirming the incident, Chief Odiango said that the suspect was arrested and taken to Aram police station, where he is still being held as investigations continue into the matter.
He further advised members of the public to find ways of cooling their anger to avoid such unnecessary loss of lives.
